[問題] '人妖'的說法

請問英文裡有特定指泰國的"人妖"的用詞嗎?

那
1.drag queen
2.transexual
3.transgender
這三個詞，是不是也可以指"人妖"呢?

  drag queen在奇摩字典的解釋:扮女方的男同性戀
          國外線上字典的解釋:A man, especially a performer,
                             who dresses as a woman
              還有另一種解釋:A male homosexual who dresses in women's clothes
                             and affecting extreme effeminate mannerisms
                             (這個和奇摩字典一樣)
  第二和第三個字都是"變性"的意思

  我想就中文的意思來看 人妖應該用transvestite(或trans)會比較恰當

表演性質的男扮女  或者是說喜愛以女裝出門的生理男性(maybe just for fun)
相反詞是drag king
如果是指泰國以表演為生的人妖用drag queen應該就可以了

真的有動手術變性的人
比如說河莉秀

: : 3.transgender
心理上覺得自己是另一性別的人（但是沒有動手術）
比如說之前電影「男孩別哭」裡面的Branda

transvestite會不會太醫學用字了？

據我所知
lady boy比較屬於說男生打扮成完全女生樣
但是身體構造上沒有任何的改變..
我去泰國時聽到當地人稱這些人為lady boy
那人妖的話 應該就是身體上多少有變化吧..
不知道這樣對不對

人妖...最口語的應該就是shemale了吧~

就是she +  male

drag queen :
man who appears in satirical performances in woman's clothing
and acts as a woman

transvestite:
person who gets sexual pleasure from dressing in the clothes
of the opposite sex

transsexual:
one who has changed his gender, one who has undergone a sex change

人妖應該是第二個吧
第三個應該是變性人
割了之後應該就不算人妖了吧

昨天看一個節目..賴世雄老師剛好有講到一個口語化的講法

這裡的cross比較像是opposite的意思吧
其實crossdresser和transvestite是一樣的意思,
cross等於trans,dress等於vestite.
只是如果有"變裝舞會"(搞party的想出來的東西),
會用cross dressing party, 因為是一堆平常穿正常衣服的人變裝的,
而不會說是transvestite party. 就像我們不說是"人妖舞會", 來賓請當人妖...@@

如果要講的很清楚的話,在網上有找到正式名稱叫transgender,
這字是70年代在美國造的,用來和transsexual 區分,
表示沒有手術的變性,不過現在也變的和transsexual同樣意思了.
也可以說是intersexual. shemale和ladyboy就有點口語化了
話說回來,人妖也不是什麼醫學名詞...

In some societies, notably in Thailand,
some people who present as female,
but with male genitalia may have been born intersexual
but may also be transsexual or transgender,
who do transition (taking estrogens and so on)
to achieve some desired secondary sex characteristics,
but not sexual reassignment surgery.
Sometimes these individuals are referred to as ladyboy or shemale,
but these terms are considered derogatory by many,
including most transgender or transsexual people not working in the sex
industry.

其實crossdresser和transvestite有差，差別在於所指涉對象的性傾向。

只要有穿著異性服裝之行為，不拘性傾向如何，均可稱此人為crossdresser。
然而，transvestite則經常會以穿著異性服裝、模仿異性舉止之方式，
求取情緒或性方面的愉悅（http://www.m-w.com）；
此人往往具有同性戀之傾向。
In short, crossdressers wear the outfit of the other sex,
but they are not necessary homosexual.

而後半對於「變裝舞會」的解說就非常正確了！^^
