Same as you, I am also a simple-minded learner of the English language. More specifically, I have always been a fumbling rookie who, willy-nilly, can do nothing more than struggle hard to bid the upsetting label of an English novice farewell--eternally in vain, though. Every time I wave my hands anxiously to ensure a complete adieu, I feel myself more tightly-bound to the beginner's starting point. Self-effacement does love company as well. To be honest, you have made an impressive progress in your writing proficiency. Granted, it would sound pretentious to praise you as having made a leap-and-bound stride; yet, it is perfectly fair to show my admiration for your fervent desire to really make a distinct improvement. Equally long is the way for us to trudge forward, and--hopefully--equally promising is the sanguine painting of our goal. At this moment in time we do walk abreast with each other in terms of our reckless exploration of the English language. To alter John Updike's famous line a little: Life is too short to be self-satisfied.
