For umpteen times this phrase I have close encounter as it is always written in the display message of one's msn. I was confused at first since we have been set for "Nothing is impossible". Nothing in the world is impossible to be achieved, to be overcame and to be conquered. How come it turns out to be in reverse way?? Does it infer the similar meaning. Or simply it is one of the styles of Generation X differentiating from their elderly. Coincidently, a TV advertisement featuring a Russian athlete refreshed my opinion towards it. Yelena Isinbayeva, a Russian female national athlete, briefly recollected her past as a artisitic gynmast in the ad. She was trained physically and mentally to be a renowned gynmast that would win the titles for herself and country. However, she did not make it due to her fast-growing body height. The double pole exercise in gynmastic suited her no more as she was too high for them! Ironically, she was forced to change her runway. Gynmastic was not her cup of tea anymore! In depression, her coach advised her to try on totally different athletic field events- pole vault jump. It succeeds!!!! Her height and well-trained bouncing enables her to rule in that event. Not only holding the current world records, it has been 20 times she has broken it till last year IAAF championship. She really achieves her peak and also "Impossible Is Nothing" It is totally brand new story. It has a higher level of expression. Not only one can make his/her dream coming true, but also keeps on running on it miraculously! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 140.109.66.20
