[Ask ] How to read the original text book?

As a college student, reading the original text book is a dilemma for me.

With a lot of professional vocabulary in the text book,

it is hard to comprehend the text well.

Furthermore, my English reading speed is slow,

so that I usually didn't have enough time to finish it.

In the end, I just gave up and turn to the conotes which my classmates

cooperated to write.


Is there any good advice to read the English text books?

After all, those books are so expensive.
