I just came a long way from home to school,
and was presently in the mood of sharing my nostalgia.
The following is a free verse I wrote that basically reflects it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around here in the sweltering middle Taiwan,
the distant lights glittered on and off, while
the night shadows took place of the brilliant stars
and devoured the blues of the travelers
who left behind the sweetness of climes
and found here the bitterness of being an alien.
