I used the yahoo dictionary to find out how to say "棉被套" in English. Yahoo dictionary:"quilt cover" Actually I need a cover to protect my white goose down quilt from dirty. However, while buying "quilt cover", I asked for help, it looks like he couldn't understand what it means. Afterwards, I found that what I have is called "comforter", and what I want to buy is called "duvet". I consulted the yahoo dictionary of "duvet" and "comforter" while home, it says:"duvet" means 鴨絨墊子; "comforter" means 蓋被. Now I have already understood a little that "quilt" means the thin one, something like a blanket ( but not absolutely means blanket = = ), and "comforter" means the thick one having the goose down or something else inside. So there is no "quilt cover" in English actually, and the cover of comforter is called "duvet". Am I right?
