What does English mean to you? What do you like about it?
English expands my horizon. It is the window through which I reach the world
beyond my humble realm. In general I like langauge learning, and English
means more to me because it is the 1st foreign language I come close to
mastering.
Any tips about learning English?
I'm not the type of learner that likes to observe a preset regime. I used to,
and am still trying to, learn English in a more varied way, receiving input
from different channels, such as watching TV, listening to music, reading
magazines and so on. I'd say that new words and expressions are more likely
to be retained with the context in which they occur, which shows authenticity
and in turn allows the learner to speak and write more native-like English.
Any other information about yourself?
I'm hooked on self-aided tours! If you look for travel mates, I might make
a good candidate!
If anyone here speaks French as well, I might use some of your tips for
learning French more effectively!
