"how" will be more appropriate
Try to write some compositions.
I think you have sufficient acquaintance with the vocabulary and the grammar.
Writing will polish your sense of English.
Indeed, I think mere reading does no apparent help to your English ability,
and the magazines you subscribed are enough to be qualified textbooks.

do something to help you get high scores in English of College Entry Exam.
that is the reason why you are learning this language.
one day, you may need for TOFEL, or essays and dissertation or business.
that would be another story that you must not do at this moment.
just don't forget your purpose.

Share my experience
Listening,I'm used to listened to the radio,if possible,CNN or BBC is the best one,you can listen to it via Internet
Reading,in fact,I don't think it's useful by reading Taipei Times,not native,browsing english webpage is much more effective,CNN,BBC,Nytimes,WSJ etc.all are the good way to improve your english

I am sorry for my abiguous corrections
It was my fault to misunderstand that you all know my meaning the clause
formed by "how" replacing that of "what" will be more fluent and the
"deficient" maybe more proper than "insufficient", though no significant
difference between these two words.

of course, from the dictionary website u gave, both words have the meaning of
"inadequate". what i meant was, however, "deficient" has the meaning
of "lacking". but what Sampragassi was trying to say was just that
it is "not enough" to just study textbooks/magazines, which is why i think
the use of "insufficient" is good enough here.
anyway, if u replace "insufficient" with "deficient", the sentence
becomes
"I think it's deficient to study the English textbook or magazines..."
and this really sounds weird to me.
anybody plz feel free to correct me if i got it wrong.

Use 'what' and 'insufficient' or 'not sufficient'
add 'most'
change tone from 'want' to 'would like'; 'I want X' is too bossy, (or Chinese-style).
drop 'the' from newspaper, add plural 's', since you will be reading more than one newspaper I think :-)

I cant agree your opinion , cuz i think it is not the only purpose to learn
english , just for getting high scores when we r studying in senior high
school. I think every student in senior high school know why they want to
make their english better , maybe they like to talk with foreigners, travel
around the world , read english literature and so on . I think if the
students just study english for getting high scores , learning would be very
boring and hard . And it is not the real purpose of language .

Think about others around you. learning English for getting high scores can
make your parents happy and your English lecturer feel confident in teaching
this subject. In addition to this, if there is some methods you found
effectively dealing with English tests, then can share to your friends and classmates
in which can help get better interpersonal relationship at this stage.
It is not wrong for other purpose people learn English when senior high.
for interests, that is excellent, but if it gives too much stress, focusing on
what it is for would be more essential.
