Spanish Word of the Day (Tuesday, January 20, 2009) descansado, adjective rested, refreshed; restful, quiet Descansado is the adjective derived from the verb descansar, to rest. As we’ve seen with words such as aburrido, its meaning changes according to whether you use it with ser or estar. In both cases there is a link with the idea of ‘rest’. Este año, estoy mejor, mucho más descansado. (This year I’m much better, much more rested.) Si quieres llegar tranquilo y descansado, no vengas en tren. (If you want to arrive relaxed and refreshed, don’t come by train.) La jornada ha sido de las más descansadas. (It’s been a very relaxing or restful day.) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 218.175.232.174
