Spanish Word of the Day (Sunday, February 8, 2009) cama, noun bed The previous Word of the Day was acostarse, to go to bed, which you normally do en la cama, in bed. Notice how Spanish uses the article la: Está en la cama con una gripe tremenda. (He’s in bed with a terrible flu.) When you have to make your bed, the verb is the one you might expect: hacer. Después de hacer la cama salí corriendo. (After making my bed I left the house in a rush.) Meterse en la cama means to get into bed. Tomó un baño caliente antes de meterse en la cama. (She had a hot bath before getting into bed.) -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 122.116.111.182
