Spanish Word of the Day (Sunday, February 15, 2009)
iniciar, verb
to begin, to start
Iniciar is one of the many Spanish synonyms for
beginning or
starting
something. It is
quite formal, and you will often see it in formal styles
of writing, such as some newspapers. There are some nouns people often
use it with. First of all
los trámites,
steps.
Se han iniciado los trámites legales para obtener el cese de tal
publicidad.
(Legal steps have been taken to put a stop to such advertising.)
A couple of other words it’s often used with are
el proceso,
process, and
conversaciones,
talks:
el proceso que se inicia ahora
(the process which is being started now)
Ambos gobiernos están dispuestos a iniciar conversaciones.
(Both governments are prepared to start discussions.)

我發現到上面的例子當中,有 iniciar 與 iniciarse 這兩個單字。稍稍查了一下字典,
覺得還不是很了解它們彼此之間的差異,也就是什麼時候該用 iniciar;什麼時候該用
iniciarse?

感覺上似乎是主動與被動的差異。不知道有沒有人願意分享一下範例呢?
