Emmanuel Frimpong will undergo further assessment on the eye injury which saw
him stretchered off against Aston Villa this afternoon.
The on-loan midfielder went straight to hospital for initial assessment on
the injury where an initial examination revealed no head or spinal problems.
However, the 20-year-old has a severe swelling around his eye and will need
further examination to discover the extent of the problem.

"I can't remember too much about it to be honest," said Frimpong.

"I remember heading the ball and from what I heard I then got a kick in the
face.

"We'll just have to give it a couple of days and wait for it to settle down."
Frimpong was able to return to Molineux after the game following the trip to
hospital.
