Víctor Espasandín and Víctor Vázquez of Barça B could make their debuts
against Sevilla. Víctor Sánchez has also been named in Frank Rijkaard's squad.

Frank Rijkaard will be going to sevilla on Saturday with two Barça B players,
Espasandín and Vázquez, to cover for the many absent faces.

Espasandín: left Back

Galician Víctor Espasandín is a solid player at the back, focoused, quick and
hard working. He plays on the left and has a sting left foot as displayed in 18
games this season for Barça B, 17 of which he started.

Víctor Vázquez: Attacker

Born in Barcelona, Víctor Vázquez can play anywhere in the attack, on either
wing, in 'the hole' or as an out and out striker. He is skilful an accomplished
dribbler, has a great shot and reads the game well. he has appeared in 14 games
this term for Barça B, 10 as a starter, although he has missed 10 games through
injury.

Number 27 and 28

These would be the 27th and 28th reserve team player that that Rijkarrd has
given a chance since coming to the club five seasons ago. Curiously, three of
previous 26 also made their debuts at the Sánchez Pizjuán: Montañés, Ludovic
and Martos in the 2005-06 season, when Barcelona had already secured the
championship title.

Víctor Sánchez already played

The other Barça B player in the squad for Sevilla is Víctor Sánchez, who
already played for the first team against Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey. The
player from Terrassa played at right back for the full 90 minutes.
Víctor Sánchez was also named for the league match at Montjuïc against
Espanyol, although he remained on the bench.

Key game for Rijkaard

Frank Rijkaard does not feel that the absense of so many players is a major
problem and feels Barça can get the win they need at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
Neither is he too worried by the lack of goals of late.

No fewer than nine players are unavailible for Saturday's important match in
Andalusia, but this does not seem to overly concern Frank Rijkaard, who is
confident the team can get the three points against the winners of the last two
UEFA cups. Speaking before the Sánchez Pizjuán clash, he said "We have a few
missing players and it's not the best of times for that, it's a shame, but that
should just provide extra motivation".

Crunch encounter

"It's a key game. We have to get the job done, and that means playing well with
the right mentality and character", said Rijkaard, who kept his cards close to
his chest regarding tactics, and went on to say that "a good result would
strengththen the team's psycology." On sevilla he said "We have to be careful
with their qualities" and pointed out that whoever plays on the left will have
to make a special effort to control Daniel Alves.

Going for goal

It has been up front that the Barça machine has been stalling late. Said
Frank Rijkaard, "we have to attack quickly, without giving the opposition time
to get organised. We should not worry about the chances we are missing, the
important thing is to create them." there is no getting away from the fact that
the team is missing Eto'o, whose country has made it into the African final,
while on Ronaldinho, the Dutchman said"he is getting better and has to keep
working to find the kind of form that can mike a defference. He has to start
playing more minutes".

Doubts at the back

Meanwhile the defense had been hit badly by injury woes. Rijkaard announced
that Oleguer has a good chance of making the team, and that "that has to be his
objective ... whenever he has played, he has given the best of himself."
Regarding Márquez, he said "he has just returned from another continent and
needs time to recover. He might help the team from the start, or I might send
him on later".

Support for Luis Aragonés

Rijkarrd was also ask fro his opinions about the current situation of Spanish
national manager, Luis Aragonés, and his answer was that "He is a fighter.
There is a lot of movement happening. But he will stay strong, like any of the
big personalities in football".
