BARCELONA
Valdes 7 - The Catalan keeper had one important save to make
and a number of comfortable and did not put a foot wrong.
Zambrotta 7 - Did well down the right flank and put over
several crosses that caused problems, with the most notable
being met by Gudjohnsen.
Sylvinho 6 - Faded in the second half and his attacking play
was missed as the majority of the player appeared to come
down the opposite wing.
Puyol 6 - Looked shaky before the break, but improved in the
second half and looked a lot more comfortable with Marquez
along side him.
Milito 5 - Fancied himself as a playmaker and gave the ball
away too often when looking for the long pass. Some bad
tackles in an unimpressive display.
Toure 6 - Did not have a lot to do before leaving the field
in what us becoming a familiar sight given his back injury.
Xavi 5.5 - The player expected to unlock tight defences made
uncharacteristic mistakes and his display strengthened belief
he cannot play with Iniesta.
Iniesta 6 - Was slight better than his fellow playmaking
midfielder, but also failed to find the pass that would make
all the difference.
Eto'o 6 - Hit the post and looked lively. Overhit a number of
passes, but when faced with so many defenders it was always
going to be tough.
Henry 5 - Had another bad day at the office as he continues to
look mystified when playing against tactics like the ones that
Getafe used.
Bojan 5 - Showed up in patches in the first half and while
criticism maybe harsh against so many defenders, it was his
responsibility to do more than he did.
Subs
Marquez 6 - Was a calming influence at the back and did well
to meet a corner and head just over. His return is good news
for Barca.
Giovani 6.5 - Had longer than on many occasions this term and
almost made an impact when hitting the post and looked lively.
Gudjohnsen 6 - Saw a glorious chance saved, but added something
different even though he does not appear to have convinced the
home fans of that.
