Edmílson Causes Storm With Attack On Barça High Life


Edmílson has lifted the lid on life at Barcelona in a sensational attack on
players that only think about money and put the trappings of fame ahead of
football.

The Brazilian midfielder has caused an authentic stir with his frank opinions
as he stated that he thinks that there are black sheep in the Blaugrana
family.

While his views may be no secret, it is Edmílon's decision to air them at
such a critical time for the Catalan club that could truly cause waves.

"I think that there are a lot of good people in the world, but there are also
a lot of bad people," he stated.

"In the dressing room there are a lot of good people, but there are also
people who are not.

"There are 23 or 25 players in our squad, then there are the coaches and we
form a family. There is normally a black sheep in the family, of course.

"You have people that think differently because of the money, the success,
the fame, the girls, easy things. Because of that the true values of life are
put aside.

"At times players make their job a secondary consideration, you know. People
think 'I am going to train quickly and then I have to go and do a publicity
stunt'. You know that?

"They think that they are not here to win titles, the Champions League or
whatever, they are only thinking about earning money."

Edmílson, who is well known for his religious beliefs, steers clear of life
in the public eye and prefers to reminisce about the good times that football
has brought him.

"I believe that we are here to win and make history and to entertain people,"
he explained.

"Every day that I am out injured I remember the parade when we returned from
Paris after winning the cup. That was impressive. That is something that
money cannot buy."
