倫敦市長 Ken Livingstone 堅持F1GP不可能在英國的首都街頭舉行。
Livingstone在星期四一場宣布倫敦將舉辦2007年環法自行車賽的會場上說
舉辦一場F1比賽在實在不符合經濟效益。
「辦一場F1比賽需要5600多萬美金，如果要我從納稅人的口袋裡掏出這麼多錢，
那我想我以後走在路上的時候一定得小心被暗殺。」Livingstone說。
不過話雖如此，倫敦街頭也曾經在2004年的時候舉辦過一場名為
「London comes to Regent Street’s F1」的活動。
