The BMW Sauber Formula 1 team will race without KERS at this weekend's
Spanish Grand Prix. The system has been removed from both cars due to a
comprehensive aerodynamic update according to the team.
"We will not be equipping either car with KERS in Barcelona," BMW team boss
Mario Theissen confirmed. "It was a case of lining up with either a
comprehensive aerodynamic update or KERS. The tuning time on Friday would be
too short."
This doesn't mean though the team will not fit their cars with KERS later
this season. "We may come back to KERS in Turkey," said Theissen.
