Adrian Sutil remained relaxed on Friday afternoon after being forced to sit
out of the entire second ninety-minute practice session due to a technical
issue. As well as not being able to familiarise himself further with current
track conditions, the German has missed out on time for fine tuning his car
setup.
Having completed just 19 laps and finishing 20th in first practice on Friday
morning, Sutil's Force India-Mercedes remained upside down, taken apart and
rooted to the pit lane for the rest of the day. "Unfortunately in the
afternoon we couldn't do any running as there was a problem with the fuel
cell and we couldn't make the change in time to get out for the session,"
Adrian reported, as the mechanics worked on his car.
"In any case, we have our information for the setup this weekend from winter
testing so I don't think it will be a big problem tomorrow. Free practice 1
was okay, we just tested the tyres available this weekend. We struggled a bit
with the Soft tyres and I wasn't too happy with the time in the end, but
Giancarlo (Fisichella, team-mate to Sutil) got a lot of running in so we know
what direction to take."
