前WRC冠軍西班牙車手Carlos Sainz建議他的同鄉離開。
這位現年45歲的車手對Alonso的現況拿來和自己作了比較，當年
在Subaru和英國車手Colin McRae同隊時有類似的情形
"The pressure from the English press was tremendous"

make their driver seem like the better one. It is an unbearable
situation to be in."

Sainz說他實在不願對Alonso在McLaren的期間多作評論，但他表示同情。
