NO PENALTY FOR JPM ENGINE CHANGE

Juan Pablo Montoya will not have to take a ten place grid penalty despite his M
ercedes engine being changed during first practice this morning,

McLaren decided to replace the engine in Montoya’s car as a precaution, due to
 what Mercedes boss Norbert Haug described as “a suspected problem with the ca
mshaft surface treatment.”

But as Montoya did not take part in today’s session, and because he was due a
fresh engine for this weekend’s race in any case, he avoids any penalty.

The change was completed in time for the second session, but the team elected n
ot to leave the pit lane due to the extremely wet conditions.

"I didn't get the chance to run in the dry today when I had to sit out the firs
t practice as the team had to do a precautionary engine change on my car,” sai
d Montoya.

“The second session was obviously very wet from the beginning so it was no use
 doing any running.

“At least (test driver) Alex (Wurz) got a decent amount of laps done in the fi
rst session so we will really have to rely on his feedback.”

Montoya's team-mate Kimi Raikkonen – whose title challenge has been hamstrung
 by a series of grid penalties for unscheduled engine changes – went out for a
 handful of laps at the end of the morning session and set the fastest time of
the day.

還沒自由練習前就發現新引擎有問題,所以就先換了一顆
小胖本季遇到第一次的引擎問題就給他躲過了...
所以這就是為什麼小胖第一次的自由練習缺席的原因
Mercedes可以回答車迷一下,為什麼之前沒辦法一開始就發現Kimi的引擎有問題呢Orz
總之,衰運沒有立刻降臨到McLaren身上真是太好了,但是總是有人要衰的

所以順便講一下好了,Fisichella很像也換了引擎,這個就已經要退十位了
Kimi你也要小心你的引擎喔~~~
