Montoya out, de la Rosa in!

Team McLaren Mercedes and Juan Pablo Montoya have mutually agreed for him to
step down in the forthcoming races of this year's Formula 1 World Championship.
The team has decided that Pedro de la Rosa will join Kimi Raikkonen in the
race driver line-up.

小胖已經和銀箭達成雙方協議 今年下半季由de la Rosa取代他的位置出賽


Juan Pablo has been an energetic member of the team since 2005, but will now
spend the next few months based in Miami with his family and wife Connie who
is expecting their second child in September. Following his agreement with
Chip Ganassi Racing for next year, Juan Pablo will also be making initial
preparations for his debut in a Chrysler Dodge NASCAR.

小胖從2005年加入銀箭至今 接下來這段時間將先行返回Miami陪伴太座Connie
並且準備在9月份迎接第2個孩子出世
未來一年將與Chip Ganassi Racing車隊簽約
並首度以Chrysler Dodge 在NASCAR上場


Pedro will make his second race appearance for the team following a thrilling
points scoring debut in the 2005 Bahrain Grand Prix.

自從去年在巴林站獲得積分後 Pedro將在本週替銀箭作第2度的出賽


"Juan Pablo is an exciting driver and immensely likeable character who will
undoubtedly make a successful transition to the NASCAR scene," said Ron Dennis,
CEO and Chairman of the McLaren Group. "We have agreed that with so many things
happening in Juan Pablo's life right now, he should take some time out of the
car and prepare professionally and personally for the future."

"We believe that Juan Pablo's decision to move to NASCAR is very important for
him professionally and we will give him every support to ensure that it is a
successful transition," said Norbert Haug, Vice-President, Mercedes-Benz
Motorsport.

賓士賽車部門的副董Norbert Haug也表示
相信小胖做出轉往NASCAR的決定對於他的職業生涯是非常重要
並且也支持他 相信他在未來能夠有不錯的發展


"I know that it will be a tough transition but I'm really excited about the
opportunity to move into the NASCAR championship," said Juan Pablo Montoya.
"I have enjoyed most of my time in Formula 1 and I'm grateful for this
opportunity to settle my personal life and concentrate on my future career."

小胖本人則表示轉換跑道固然很艱辛
但也期待自己未來能在NASCAR有不錯的表現
對於自己在F1車壇的職業生涯大致上感到愉快
現在即將把目標放在未來的發展上


"I'm of course extremely thrilled to have this opportunity to race the MP4-21
– a car in which I'm really comfortable," said Pedro de la Rosa. "I know the
MP4-21 better than anyone else and I'm confident that I can achieve important
World Championship points for the team."

de la Rosa則對於自己獲得以MP4-21出賽的機會感到意外
他認為這是一部有競爭力的賽車 並將盡力替車對爭取積分
