Schumi - couldn't work with Ron Dennis

Michael Schumacher has revealed that the reason he never raced for
Mercedes in F1 was team boss Ron Dennis. Mercedes helped the German get
into F1 having raced for them in sports cars.
"I had several discussions and meetings with McLaren Mercedes, even
as early as Monaco in 1995," Schumacher told German newspaper Suddeutsche
Zeitung. "But we didn't really fit each other so nothing came of it."
When asked what was the source of his concern Schumacher said, "Ron
Dennis. Everything with Mercedes ran very well and we could have found
a way but Ron had another view of how an F1 team should function."

早年曾為Mercedes在Sports car賽事效力的MS在接受德國的Suddeutsche
Zeitung表示自己為何從未在F1為Mercedes效力的原因在於車隊老闆跑等你死
。
MS透露當時曾和McLaren車隊有過數次的討論和會面，最早的時間甚至可
以追溯到1995年的Monaco站就開始了。但是最後沒有達成彼此都滿意的條件，
所以也就沒有成真。
MS談到他所關注的根源在於跑等你死。MS說：「和Mercedes的交涉一切都
非常順利，我們也找到了能彼此合作的方法，不過跑等你死對於車隊該如何運
作有著另外一套的看法。」
