Villeneuve resigns from the GPDA
Schumacher saga too much for Villeneuve

  Jacques Villeneuve has resigned from the Grand Prix Drivers' Association
 (GPDA) following Michael Schumacher's ‘cheating’ scandal at the Monaco
Grand Prix.

  Former World Champion Villeneuve was critical of Schumacher's actions
in Monaco when he was seen to park his car at an exit during qualifying
- denying the other nine drivers the chance of improving their lap times.

  The German was stripped of his Pole Position and sent to the back of the
grid for the race, but Villeneuve was disappointed after the GPDA met on
Friday and voted to retain Schumacher as its President and Director.

  The Canadian decided to resign during the meeting.

“He doesn't want to be in the GPDA any more. Fair enough if that's the
way he feels,” explained Toyota racer Jarno Trulli. “I'm not judging
him and saying if he's right or wrong, but he wanted not to be a part of
it any more."

  The decision means little in reality as some, such as World Champion
Fernando Alonso, do not regularly attend GPMA meetings in the first place.

(Grand Prix Drivers' Association, GPDA)於週五開會並投票通過仍舊讓大舒
繼續擔任協會的總裁和理事後，對此非常失望的他決定退出車手協會。

    列車長對這項舉動解釋說：「JV不想再待在車手協會裡了，我沒辦法評斷他
這麼做是對是錯，但他就是不想再成為車手協會的一份子。」

    這項舉動就實際上來說也不是多了不得的事，例如世界冠軍小新已經不把定
期參與車手協會的會議當成他的首要工作或行程之一。
