Ide loses F1 licence - Montagny to race in Spain
10 May 2006
The FIA has revoked Super Aguri driver Yuji Ide's superlicence
and the Japanese driver will not race again in F1 this season.
The team replaced him with Montagny at the last race in Germany
'on the advice of the FIA.'
It has now emerged Ide's superlicence has been revoked.
The Super Aguri F1 team has confirmed the news and team boss
Aguri Suzuki says he regrets the development.
He added that Ide just needed more mileage to get used to F1
and that wasn't possible with the team's rush to make it to Bahrain.
Montagny will race for the team in Spain and Monaco.
