Button "extremely frustrated"

鈕扣極度挫折中...


   Jenson Button ended a disastrous Monaco qualifying session "extremely
   frustrated" after being knocked out before the Top Ten shoot-out for
   the first time this season.

   The British Honda ace's hopes of racing for a podium on his favourite
   track now lay in tatters as he faces the prospect of starting 14th on
   the grid.

   Jenson just scraped through the first knock-out session and was forced
   to use a new set of tyres early when he was blocked by traffic.

   Then in the second session he was struck by mysteriously high levels of
   understeer, rendering him incapable of fighting for position.

   "The balance of the car was reasonable on old tyres but I had an
   unexpected amount of understeer when we switched to new tyres," he
   explained.

   "I was quicker on old tyres than new.

   "Right now we don't know why so we will have to look at the data but
   everyone knows that qualifying well here is crucial for the race.

   "I'm obviously extremely frustrated to be starting so far back here for
   a race I felt confident we could do well in."

Button 遭遇謎樣的轉向不足, 最後只能由第 14 位出發。

小弟看的第一場 F1 就是 2004 的 Monaco 站, 那年 Trulli 拿冠車, Button 第二
賽後記者會 Button 顯得相當開心, 賽後大家對 Button 的評價都很優
(小新那場和小舒碰撞退賽, 表現還不如 Button 呢!)

看到當時大家寄予厚望的 Button 現在還沒開賽就不行了, 實在感到好可年呀!
(年輕人睡飽點! 賽車就像追女友, 千萬別洩氣!)
