FIA bans third cars and shortens qualifying

The FIA has confirmed tht teams will not be allowed to run third cars
during Friday practice sessions from next season onwards. At the moment
teams that didn't finish last year's championship in the top four are
allowed to field a third car in Friday practice.
The FIA has also reduced the length of Saturday's final qualifying
knockout session from twenty minutes to fifteen. That comes into effect
immediately with this weekend's French Grand Prix.

FIA正式宣佈從明年賽季起取消車隊可在週五自由練習時段派上第3台車的規
定。目前現行的規定是車隊如果在前年的名次在前4名之外，第5名以降的車隊們
可以在週五自由練習時段派上第3台車。
此外FIA正式將第3段排位賽從20分鐘縮短為15分鐘，從法國站開始生效。
取消第3台車的規定，某些很愛騙年輕車手或低階方程式車手來燒錢測試的
車隊會很不高興吧！當然週五如果能多辦和車迷互動的活動是好事。
