Pedro de la Rosa has counted himself in the running to replace his countryman
Fernando Alonso at McLaren for 2008.

The Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo said 36-year-old de la Rosa is a
friend of Emilio Botin, the boss of McLaren's Spanish sponsor Santander who
is reportedly unhappy about Alonso's team exit.
西班牙報紙El Mundo Deportivo說，這位36歲的車手，
是麥隊西班牙贊助商老闆的朋友。
而根據報導指出，這位老闆對於阿龍索的出走很不爽。
"Everybody wants to be a McLaren driver," de la Rosa told Spanish press on
Wednesday at Madrid's International Exhibition of Information Technology.
"每個人都想成為代表麥拉倫出賽的車手。"
The Barcelona born driver is guaranteed McLaren's continuing primary test
seat next year and also in 2009.
dlR目前的工作是在2008以及2009擔任麥隊的首席測試車手。
He substituted for Juan Pablo Montoya last year and subsequently hoped to be
granted the seat that ultimately in 2007 was occupied by Lewis Hamilton.
2006年，在某小瘦板主離開麥隊之後，dlR遞補上正式車手的位子。
而在2007年，本來有機會成為正式車手的機會，卻給HAM拿走了。
"My dream has always been to race and, naturally, it is that possibility that
keeps me going as a test driver," he continued.
"我的夢想是上場比賽，而那個機會就是我一直擔任測試車手的原因。"
"I'll try, of course I will. At the moment the team is in no rush and neither
am I.
"我當然會去嘗試得到那個機會。但是現在車隊跟我都不急。"
"If they need a driver, I'm ready and willing, that's for sure," de la Rosa
said.
"如果車隊需要個上場比賽的車手，我已經準備好並且很有意願爲麥隊效勞。"
With Williams' Nico Rosberg now out of the running, also tenuously linked
with the drive is 24-year-old French-Canadian DTM driver Bruno Spengler, who
was thought to be a candidate for a Prodrive seat next year.
在羅斯堡確定不會過來的情況下，現在的謠言已經指向Bruno Spengler
而Bruno Spengler也被認為有可能是明年Prodrive的車手之一
