[情報] Brawn signs its latest sponsor

The Brawn GP team has signed its latest commercial partnership deal, with
Willans; the manufacturer of motorsport safety harnesses will see its name
and logo on the BGP 001 cars of championship leaders Jenson Button and Rubens
Barrichello for the first time at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.

 As well as being a sponsor, Willans now becomes the official team supplier of
Brawn after a contract was finalised this week. The Willans name has been in
existence since 1967, producing safety equipment for a range of motorsports
including NASCAR, IndyCars and rallying as well as F1. Infact, 252 Grand Prix
victories and 19 world drivers' titles have been clinched with a Willans
harness onboard.

 The deal also sees a continuation of the company's association with Brawn
partner Virgin, as it was a Willans harness inside the Virgin powerboat which
became the fastest to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Another notable achievement
for the company was the fact that the Thrust SSC car carried a Willans
harness on its way to setting the land speed record in 1997.

"We are extremely pleased to have reached an agreement with Willans to use
their racing harnesses in the Brawn-Mercedes cars this season," said team
owner Ross Brawn. "Driver safety is absolutely paramount in Formula One and
the sport is continually taking steps to improve our safety record. We are
very proud to be working closely with one of the most successful and
dedicated harness manufacturers in motorsport."
