Alonso visits troops in Lebanon
Nov. 14 - Spain's formula one Champion Fernando Alonso visited the Spanish
peacekeepers in south Lebanon and spent the night with them.
While in the base, Alonso had dinner with troops, before participating in a
sport program on a Spanish radio Channel. The 25 year old is the youngest
Formula One double world champion after he won his second championship in
Brazil last month. Spain sent more than one thousand soldiers to join The
United Nations interim forces in Lebanon known as UNIFIL to patrol the
southern areas of Lebanon after the war war between Israel and Hezbollah
guerrillas ended mid of August .
