由於與Brawn GP合約的關係，既使現任世界冠軍Jenson Button早已在去年11月18日發佈與McLaren車隊簽約的消息，但始終無法前往新東家。直到今年1月1日，Button終於踏入McLaren總部，車隊發表了首張Button身著McLaren服裝的官方照片，Button並對車隊成員講了些話，他說：「大家好，新年快樂，能夠成為Vodafone McLaren Mercedes車隊的一份子真的很高興，在2010年我很期盼能夠與你們一同工作。」
