S. GROSJEAN/X. Malisse 6-2, 7-5, 6-3
Q. May we know what your feelings are? Are you happy?
Are you hurting everywhere after such a match?
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: No. I'm pleased that I won in three
sets because in the second set I was in a bad situation,
so this is good. I was not thinking it would be that good
at the beginning of the tournament. Now I'm going to try
to keep on going.
Q. Did you have any problems against him?
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: Yes, because he was inconsistent. He
had very good shots, and suddenly he made errors. I had
trouble keeping concentrated in the second set, and he
took advantage of it. Since he's a talented player, it's
very difficult to adapt to his game on that type of court.
Q. I suppose you didn't want the match to last, you were
a bit tired?
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: Yes, exactly. I had less energy than
in the previous rounds. It's a bit normal, though. And it's
true that physically I was not as good as the other days.
Q. Maybe we can talk about the injuries of Ferrero, Safin,
yourself. Anything can happen now, including for you.
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: Well, my injury is still there. All the
players are playing with it. There are eight players, and
I'm just going to concentrate on my next match before
thinking about the other ones. I didn't look at the draw.
I don't even know which players I have to play to win the
tournament.
Q. You really didn't look at the draw?
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: I know which will be my next opponent.
It will be the winner between Di Pasquale and Safin, but I
never look at the draw ahead of time.
Q. About this injury, when you suffer from that kind of
thing, let's say you're playing at 80%, are you able to play
relaxed in spite of that or are you tense about what might
happen? The way you played today was completely relaxed,
apparently.
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: I think today I had problems moving -
more than the other days. But I have no pain. I was
compensating a little bit. Maybe I feel stiff a bit earlier
than usual. But my injury on the left leg is not too bad.
Q. We remember Monte-Carlo. You were playing on one leg. How
are you now?
SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN: Here I feel a lot better than Monte-Carlo,
no doubt about that. I'm pleased I'm here (smiling). I don't
know if you are. So it's good.
