Testud pulls out of Open

NEW YORK (AP) -- Sandrine Testud of France pulled out of the U.S. Open on Sunda
y because of an injured right foot.
Testud's spot in the field will be filled by Camille Pin of France, who lost in
qualifying. Pin's main-draw debut at Flushing Meadows will come against Daniel
a Hantuchova of Slovakia.
The year's last Grand Slam tournament begins Monday.
Testud, 32, skipped the 2002 and 2003 Opens because she gave birth to a daughte
r in February 2003. She returned to competition this February, going 3-10.
