Gasquet storms through 

The organization committee will not regret that they gave
a Wild Card to 15- year old wonderboy Richard Gasquet. The
young Frenchman recently finished second in the Spanish
Sattelite, although he had to qualify in the first two
events. He had then to play without any umpire, so the leap
to a Tennis Masters event ought to be giant for him. On
Saturday night, Gasquet played 83- ranked Russian Nikolai
Davydenko on the Center Court in Monte Carlo. The very
talented Frenchman controlled the match from the start to
the very end with lots of forehand and backhand winners. He
hit the ball very hard from the baseline and varied his game
well with surprising drop shots.

Gasquet easily won the match 6-1, 6-1, showing no signs of
nervs whatsoever. Gasquet is by many seen as the "new
Sampras" and his senior career has even got a better start
than for his famous master.
