WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Arnaud Clement: “It was a good match today and my first and second serve.
Good returns. He beat me easily in Cincinnati last year so this time I had
a better idea of how to play him. This is the beginning of the year and I
don't think it was the best match of his career. I am happy to be playing
like this in the lead-up to the Australian Open.
“I worked hard in the off-season. I had a few little muscular problems
which caused me to miss two weeks of practice. I'm not in the best physical
shape but basically I'm okay.”
