And in a dream match up for the tournament Andre Agassi will
take on French prodigy, Richard Gasquet in tomorrow's second
match after both made great starts to their warm up to the
Australian Open.
Gasquet was extremely impressive in defeating world number 22,
Younes El Aynoui, showing his impressive ground strokes and
sound temperament on the court.
Agassi took the honours in his match with Thomas Enqvist,
putting the throttle down when the match was there to be won.
Happy with his 7/5 6/3 win, Agassi turned his attention to
likely opponent Richard Gasquet saying he thought it was
fantastic for the young man to be exposed to this standard of
tennis as early as possible.
"The sooner you learn what you are out there facing every single
day for the next 15 years, the better off you are going to be,"
Agassi said.

RICHARD GASQUET was next up against YOUNES EL AYNAOUI. The young Frenchman
had an impressive win against the Moroccan (7/6 (7/1), 6/3) in his first
Kooyong appearance and will now face Andre Agassi tomorrow in the second
match. Gasquet felt he had played better today than in Monte Carlo last
year (where he qualified and got to the second round) and when asked about
his match-up with Agassi said "It is a dream for me to play against Agassi
because I watch him since I was born". (Gasquet was born the year
Agassi turned pro).
In the final match, XAVIER MALISSE (who had replaced an injured ANDREI
PAVEL) faced SEBASTIEN GROSJEAN. They split sets (2/6 Malisse, 6/4 Grosjean)
and then in the third, Malisse had to retire injured (strained leg muscle).
He will be replaced tomorrow by HICHAM ARAZI.
不過包包頭大俠的傷勢應該不嚴重 只要要避免惡化影響AO
so maria不用太傷心^^
