Saturday, January 11th 2.00pm - Centre Court Agassi d Grosjean 6/2 6/3 Gasquet d Philippoussis 7/5 6/2 http://www.kooyongltc.asn.au/ Andre Agassi has won his third Commonwealth Bank International in four years in an impressive display against Sebastien Grosjean at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club today. Going into the Australian Open, which he has incidentally won each time he has won this very event, Agassi was confident of his chances but just looking forward to playing his first match after a terrific week at Kooyong. In hot conditions Agassi proved his class outplaying Grosjean when it mattered most and took advantage of his opportunities when they arose. Grosjean fought back in the second set to break Agassi's serve but the champion came right back at the Frenchman to break back and then went on to win the match 6/2 6/3. "I think to win in this field means you're playing well and this is as tough of a field as you are going to have anywhere," Agassi said. "I felt real good, a lot better a lot sooner than I was even hoping, so hopefully it will translate into me playing some good tennis in the next couple of weeks," he said. In the playoff for third and fourth spot, French sensation Richard Gasquet took another scalp in an impressive start to his career defeating Mark Philippoussis in straight sets and the youngster seemed surprised and modest at his own ability against the top players in world tennis. With a tough first round match against Russian, Mikhail Youzhny at the Australian Open, Gasquet was confident of playing some good tennis but modest about his chances against Youzhny. Philippoussis, although disappointed, was happy to have hit the ball well this week and work his way back into some type of touch and happy to be injury free. ----- 咩(羊叫重出江湖) 果醬T-T 是我念力不夠 這幾天我會加緊練習的 Richard的表現不錯真讓人又期待又怕受傷害 最後 這個站怎麼以直把選手名字拼錯啊!
