Although Sebastien Grosjean trailed Dominik Hrbaty 5-2 during the
opening set, he never panicked. "It is generally known that Dominik
runs into difficulties at the end of the first set. I knew this and
waited for my opportunity to get back into the match" explained the
Frenchman, who won 7-5, 6-3.
Grosjean, who is seeded sixth, turned the match round by winning
several games in succession. "Dominik started the set well. He kept
up the pace and managed to exert pressure during my service games.
However, I slowly got into my stride, and was able to stage a comeback.
The second set was comparatively easy."
Grosjean next meets the winner of this evening’s match between fellow
countryman Nicolas Escude and Richard Krajicek. "I don’t mind whether
I play Nicolas or Richard. They both play service/volley."
