Llodra & Santoro Reach Doubles Final
Frenchmen Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro are within one win of
bookending their 2003 season with the Tennis Masters Cup title. They
began the year by winning what remains their lone career title at the
Australian Open.
On Thursday night Llodra and Santoro stunned reigning ATP Doubles Race
champions Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals. On
Friday top seeds and new ATP Doubles Race champions Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan
tackle Argentines Gaston Etlis and Martin Rodriguez in the other semifinal.
Santoro said: "We've had a great year together even though we've only played
12 tournaments before coming to Houston. The Masters was one of our goals, we
came here early and we're very motivated. It's great to be in the final and
hopefully we can keep going."
