Tie Preview
This is the seventh meeting between these two nations with France leading
the series 5:1 although their last encounter was 25 years ago so much has
changed since then.
The Romanians have chosen a fast indoor carpet court in the hope of blunting
their visitors' clay court rallying skills(這句是在開玩笑嗎). Although
France are the favourites to win the tie - they are No. 1 in the ITF Davis
Cup Nations Ranking while their hosts are 15th - the Romanians pulled off a
shock defeat over Slovak Republic on indoor carpet last year. With the
benefit of the home crowd this time, anything is possible.
