Nathalie Dechy will start France's defence of the Fed Cup when she takes on
18-year-old Anna-Lena Groenfeld in the opening rubber of their World Group
first round encounter at the Coliseum d'Amiens on Saturday. Dechy, who
missed last year's final through injury, will be looking to make her
experience count against the 2003 Roland Garros junior champion, who
is making her debut in the event.
World No. 3 Amelie Mauresmo will follow Dechy onto court with a match against
German veteran Barbara Rittner, while two other members of the winning team,
Emilie Loit and Mary Pierce, have been nominated to play doubles.
