Provided Gasquet gets by big serving veteran Dick Norman next and 17
yr old Yeu-tzuoo Wang (last yr's Jr finalist) can beat top seed
Burgmuller in their next round, could be a good match between two of
the top under 18 prospects in the pro's. I've been following Wang for
a while now and this is a big chance for both guys.

I agree, although i think richard is a better player, and more
powerful, Yeu-tzuoo has had almost all of his tournament wins on
hard courts, while richard has had almost all of his on clay. i
suppose we'll see if this hard court experience comes into play soon
enough, should they meet in the third round. though i should mention
richard did make it to the semi-finals of the jr. aussie open,
almost making it to the final, losing 9-11 in the third set i
believe. though the aussie open is played on rebound ace, the
surface, when playing quickly is quite a bit like a typical hard
court.
also, richard told me he actually grew up playing on hard courts at
the tennis club his parents worked at, and only started practicing
heavily on clay when he moved to roland garros about a year ago, so
hard courts should not be a problem for him. oh well, take one match
at a time, lets just hope he makes it past norman in the next
round :) -kristina

Richard has probably shot past "Jimmy" in his development at this
stage, but I think a lot of that has to do with the mystique factor.
At 16 and 17 years old respectively, its hard to say how they'll fill
out physically and develop overall. TO be honest I haven't seen either
play in person, but from what I've heard Wang can become a machine
from the baseline. What I have seen of Richard is that his strokes
are loopy so if he could get in trouble if the court and his opponent
play quick.
Still though, possible preview between potential top 10 players in 5
years. Most would agree Gasquet will get there first, and Wang is a
bit more of a wildcard.
