“It feels great to win a title again and the circumstances were unfortunate.
It would have been nice for Nikolay to finish. I think it’s the first time
in my life that someone has retired against me, in 70-80 finals. It was cool
in the cold conditions, but it is a great start to the clay-court season to
win a title.”
「這情形令人遺憾，但我對贏得冠軍感到非常開心，這樣結束對於 Davydenko 來說或許
是好的吧。不過這是我一生70~80場決賽中，第一次有人退賽，這情形雖然有點令人無言
，不過贏得這個冠軍是紅土賽季中一個好的開始。」
"This is not the way you want to win a tournament but that's the way it goes
sometimes.”

“Nikolay felt something at the end of the first set, I saw Nikolay holding
his leg before the changeover. I congratulated on a great run in Miami, Davis
Cup and it is unfortunate to celebrate a win in this way. I’m still very
proud to have won this tournament.”

good thing. I feel great again.” [Tony: but even if he was feeling sick,
would he be alerting his opponents just before the start of Monte Carlo?]

Asked if it was a relief to have finally won a tournament this season, Roger
replied: "Not really, some might think it's a great breakthrough. I don't see
it that way. I look at the big picture. The big matches are coming up, the
French Open the U.S. Open where it really kind of matters very very much. If
I lose there I'm disappointed, if I win there I'm going to be delighted. This
is a great start to the clay court season."
問到當他終於拿到本賽季第一個冠軍時，有沒有鬆一口氣的感覺？ Roger 回答：「大概
沒有吧，有些人可能會想說這是一個好的突破，但我並不這麼認為。接下來會有更大的場
面、更大的比賽將要來臨，法網阿、美網阿，這些更重要的多，要是我輸掉這些比賽我肯
定會相當失望，但要是我贏了，那肯定會相當開心。總之紅土賽季有一個好的開始。」
Davy's comments
Davy的評論。
Davydenko, who fell to 0-12 against Federer, said his opponent was as tough
as ever.
輸給 Federer 12次的 Davydenko，說他的對手跟以前一樣難打。
"He had good control, he kept the same (play) as before," the Russian said.
"I don't see anything different between (the) last matches and now."
「他有很好的控制力，跟以前打的根本一樣。」他說：「我不認為他在現在跟上一場比賽
有任何的不同。」
