教練又要來啦，這次是Rogi自己放的風聲，

Paul Annacone也是在官網球迷間呼聲頗高的教練人選，
也曾是Sampras的長期教練，也曾經在04年執教過Henman，
Annacone在今年11月才會真正離開LTA。

OFF COURT - ROGER TO DO TEST WITH PAUL ANNACONE

Dear Fans

I've been looking to add someone to my team and I've decided to spend some
days with Paul Annacone. As Paul winds down his responsibilities working for
the Lawn Tennis Association, we will explore our relationship through this
test period. Paul will work alongside my existing team and I am excited to
learn from his experiences.

我一直在找人加入我的團隊，我已經決定花幾天時間與Paul Annacone相處，隨著Paul
漸漸辭去他在草地網球協會的工作，所以這段測試期，我們會進一步測試我們的關係，
Paul會跟我現在的團隊一起工作，很高興能從他的經驗裡學習。


補一下之前官網球迷討論可能教練人選的時候，
對Annacone的介紹，作者是官網球迷Rickyroger，

Coach No. 3 - Paul Annacone

Of all the coaches suggested here, Paul Annacone truly seems to make the most
sense in nearly every way. He's coached Pete Sampras through the majority of
his Slams, including his "comeback" US Open 2002 win.

在所有建議教練人選裡，Paul Annacone從幾乎任何方面看來，都是最有可能的。在他
執教時期，Sampras贏得了他大多數的大滿貫，包括他東山再起的2002美網冠軍。

Paul Annacone was once ranked as high as World No.12. He was a serve and
volley player, who not only executed it well, but taught it well. He is one
of the most renowned coaches in modern tennis, and has also coached another
one of our coach picks, Tim Henman to some of his best tennis as a resurgent
stalwart in 2005.

Paul Annacone最高排名是世界12，他曾是發球上網的選手，他不只執行發球上網很好，
他也很會教發球上網。他是現代網球裡，最大名鼎鼎的教練之一，也曾經執教過另一個
我們(指球迷)的教練人選-Tim Henman ，並且讓他在2005重新崛起，打出些生涯最好的
網球。

Annacone is currently working as the head of the Lawn Tennis Association. It
is considered by many here that few other coaches would have as much of an
understanding of the workings of the mind of a player considered to be
amongst the greatest of all time, as Annacone, given his experience with Pete
Sampras.

Annacone現在是LTA的主席。由於Annacone執教Pete Sampras的經驗，很多人認為，他對
被視為史上最佳的選手心理的理解，少有其他教練能匹敵。

It is also worth noting that Annacone has adult children and is pretty much
in the business of coaching on a permanent basis.

值得一提的還有，Annacone的孩子已經長大成人，因而可以持續的擔任教練工作。

去年四月，Annacone有對紐約時報表達過他對Rogi生涯的看法，

"There are definitely some parallels [between Sampras and Federer],” said
Paul Annacone. “Just as it was for Pete, it’s a particularly interesting,
challenging time in Roger’s career. But I would look at it with Roger in the
same way as for Pete. For guys like that, it is daunting but not that
daunting. They are so skilled, they can adjust, but a lot of the adjustment
is mental.”

Sampras跟Federer有些部分是並行的，就像Pete一樣，現在對Roger來說是特別有趣而
有挑戰性的時期，我會用看待Pete的方法去看待Roger。對於有些人來說，這有些嚇人，
但也不那麼嚇人，他們很熟練，可以調整，但是許多的調整是來自心理上的。

Annacone thinks Roger grew accustomed to overwhelming opponents from the back
court: to being the better athlete and hitting a more, consistent and heavier
ball.

Annacone認為Roger習慣從底線壓制住對手，習慣擊出比對手更穩定而渾重的球質。

“We are all creatures of habits,” Annacone said. “Roger has won a lot a
certain way, and when you’ve done that for four or five years and then in
year six or seven, that shot that used to be a winner isn’t a winner
anymore, the tendency in human nature is to overplay a little bit. And that’
s what’s happening. His couple of patterns that used to be very dominant are
still successful against 95 percent of the guys — just not against that last
five percent.”

"我們都是習慣的生物，Roger以特定的方式贏得很多比賽，當你已經那樣做了四五年，
 然後在六七年之後，以前是致勝球的球不再是致勝球，人性是傾向會更過度用那樣的
 方法，而那正是現在發生的事情。他習慣的模式還是可以成功壓制百分之九十五的選
 手，但卻無法壓制那剩下的百分之五。"

Annacone understandably leans toward Federer’s hiring a full-time coach. “I
always feel in an individual sport, it’s up to the guy on court, but as you
watch the evolution of careers, it’s good to have someone you trust and who
understands you and what you’re trying to do and also your game and the
history of what’s gone on,” he said.

可理解地，Annacone傾向要Federer雇用全職的教練。"在個人運動中，我總覺得一切取
决於在場上的人，但是當你觀察生涯的進程，能有個你可以信任的人，有個了解你在做
什麼，了解你的打法，了解你的過去的人也很好。"

“He may choose to keep doing what he’s been doing and not tweaking, and that
’s his choice as a champion,” Annacone said. “But for me it would be a
shame. If you have a lot of weapons in your arsenal and choose not to use
them, what’s the point in having them? It’s a matter of managing them a bit
differently than he did a few years ago.”

"他或許會選擇持續做他一直在做的事情，而不變動，他是他作為冠軍的選擇，但對我而
 言，那很可惜，如果你的武器庫裡有很多武器，而選擇不使用那些武器，那為什麼要擁
 有它們?重要的是以不同前幾年的方法運用這些武器。"
