這是官網球迷vrazkar把一篇Henman對瑞士報紙Tagesanzeger做的訪問中，關於Rogi的
部分，翻譯成英文。還不錯的訪問，談了他對Roger輸給Berdych，還有對Roger生涯未
來展望的想法。

Tim Henman gave an interesting interview to the Swiss paper Tagesanzeiger.
I tried to translate the parts that concern Roger:

Tim Henman, what do you think about Roger Federer's defeat against Tomas
Berdych?

Tim Henman, 你對Roger Federer輸給Tomas Berdych有什麼看法?

It's not that Roger lost the match, it's rather that Berdych won it. He
played great. The match against Berdych was similar to the one against
Soderling in Paris. Not so many players hit the ball as hard as these two.
Perhaps Roger didn't play his best tennis but there were moments when he
wasn't allowed to do it. Of course it will be speculated now where Roger's
game stands. I don't think that he'll be able to dominate the game like he
did in the last 4-5 years but I am sure that he'll win more slams because
there are still aspects of his game which he can improve.

這不是Roger輸掉比賽，而是Berdych贏得比賽。他打得很棒。這場對Berdych的比賽
與在巴黎對Soderling的比賽類似。沒有太多選手能像他們倆擊球這麼用力，或許
Roger沒能打出他最好的網球，但是有些時候是他不被允許這麼做。當然，現在Roger

He can be more aggressive with his second serve. He could try to come more
often to the net and he can use his experience to his advantage. When I was
29, 30 I played some of my best matches. I managed to reach semis in Paris
and New York for the first time late in my career. And he is still only 28.

他可以在二發更為積極主動，他可以嘗試更常上網，並且用他的經驗作為優勢，當我
二十九，三十歲的時候，我打出一些我最好的比賽，我在生涯後期，第一次在巴黎跟
紐約打進四強，而他才二十八歲。

Federer was criticized that after the match against Berdych he spoke about
his injury. Was it fair to criticize him?

Federer因為賽後談及受傷而被批評，這對他公平嗎?

He gave the honest answers and not the right ones. However if he had said
that everything was OK this would have also been questioned. You can never
win. Roger has always been honest. I have given not the honest answers but
the right ones more often than him. However the way the media are nowadays
you'll be criticized no matter what you say. I hope that this won't disturb
his, his wife's and their twins' sleep. (laughs)

他給了誠實的答案，但不是正確的答案，然而，要是他說一切都沒事，那也會被質疑，
你永不可能對，Roger 一直都很誠實，我比他更常給不誠實但正確的答案。然而，不
管你說什麼，現今的媒體都會批評你，我希望這不會影響他，他妻子還有雙胞胎的睡

You know Federer well. How will he deal with this loss?

Roger must take it as a signal. Now he must analyze where his game is and
what else he wants to achieve. He needs a clear plan about what else he wants
to improve in his game. If you don't improve, you fall behind. Tennis
develops extremely quickly. Roger had been better than the others for a long
time but it was unavoidable that the gap between him and the others would
close. Nevertheless I believe that he can become #1 again.

Roger一定會視之為警訊，現在他得分析他的技術層面在哪?還有他想達成什麼目標，
他需要清楚的計畫他想要改善哪些部分，如果你不進步，你就會落後，網球發展得極
為快速，Roger 長時間以來都比其他人優秀，但無可避免的，他跟其他人間的差距會
拉近，無論如何我都相信他能再度成為世界第一。

Isn't his opponent inside him rather than outside?

他的對手是他自己而非他人?

I don't think so. The competition is stronger than ever. I hope that Roger
says to himself: this is the cream, the dessert of my career. He had achieved
so much that he should play freely and with joy. He shouldn't put too much
pressure on himself by saying now I must win here or there. He shouldn't do
it at all. He should just go out there and enjoy the tennis, the process.
When you focus on the process the results come automatically. If you focus on
the results you lose the essence from your sight.

我不這樣認為，競爭比以往都還要激烈，我希望Roger對自己這樣說:這是我生涯裡的
點心，他已經成就了太多，所以他應該可以更自在的打球，享受更多樂趣。他不該因
為自己非得贏而給自己太多壓力，完全不該這樣做，他應該站上球場然後享受網球的
樂趣。當你專注在過程的時候，成果就會隨之而來。如果你專注在成果，你就會失去
初衷。

He was plagued by minor injuries at Wimbledon. Is it more difficult to stay
healthy at 28, 29?

他在溫布頓受到小傷勢困擾，在二十八，二十九歲的時候，要保持健康是不是更困難?

Of course. This is a new challenge which you have to deal with when you get
older. You need longer time to rest. Roger is aware of this. That's why now
he travels with his personal physio. This is a wise decision. Practice,
preparation for matches, prevention of injuries become more important with
age. When you are young you just play. You wake up on the next day and don't
feel anything. The older you become, the more it twinges you.

當然，這是當你年紀變大，所需要面對的新挑戰，你需要更多時間休息，Roger很清楚
這點，這就是他為什麼讓個人防護員隨行。這是個聰明的決定，練習，賽前準備，避免
受傷隨著年紀變大而更重要，當你年輕的時候，你只管打球，你隔天起床完全沒有不舒
服。年紀越大的時候，傷痛就更常困擾你。
