Federer at a loss to explain latest Nalbandian loss
By Steve Keating
NEW YORK, Sept 4 (Reuters) - Wimbledon champion Roger Federer had no
answers for reporters or David Nalbandian, slumping out of the U.S. Open
in the fourth round on Thursday with a 3-6 7-6 6-4 6-3 loss to the
13th-seeded Argentine.
For the fifth time in as many meetings, Nalbandian had the better of
Federer and the Swiss, hailed as the next Pete Sampras, was at loss to
explain his inability to overcome his rival.
"I don't know otherwise I would beat him," Federer said.
"I guess I'm struggling against him."
Looking at the statistics there is no guessing.
The Argentine had beaten Federer in all four previous meetings -- twice
this year and twice in 2002 -- and yet again had the measure of the Swiss
serve-volleyer in the final of the junior event here in 1998.
"I don't know what to comment on this because I'm trying to figure out
how to beat him," Federer said.
"I guess he likes my game because I keep coming at him and he likes to
play counter-attacking tennis -- which he does extremely well.
"I've never felt like I had a great day playing against him."
With 62 unforced errors, Federer did not enjoy one of his better
performances of the season against the powerfully-built Nalbandian.
The Swiss also refused to use the many rain delays that have disrupted
play at Flushing Meadows all week as an excuse.
"It was the same for both of us," Federer said.
"I had some little injuries but just little things that were hurting me
and I could get over them in the delays.
"So I thought the delays came good for me.

還是沒能欣賞到這場比賽,所以依舊不解小班是如何剋的.
不過我相信未來的對戰還很多,
Rogi還是有機會,不過首先得拋開對戰紀錄壓力.加油!
