到法國留學，為了適應生活與學業，先進語言學校學習半年至一年是必要的，有關詳細的學校資料，可到法國在台協會圖書館查詢。如需幫忙寫信或需瞭解學校的資料，同學們都可到法國在台協會圖書館請求協助。圖書館對外開放時間為星期二至星期五，下午二時至五時半。
一般而言，申請語言學校手續非常簡單。一切手續都是免費。除了有的學校會要求先寄上訂金。申請學校的程序簡述如下：
寫信向學校提出申請；
學校接到申請信之後，會寄來相關的表格填寫；
把填妥的學校資料及所需的文件一併以航空掛號寄回給學校；
數週後，學校就會把入學許可寄來。
