下一句接however為轉折語氣,表示作者反對支持者
this is either beside the point 是說支持者的論述無關緊要
後面接since表示支持者論述無關緊要的原因

: 這一句我的理解是 *轉折* 事實卻與支持者們的point不同(beside)
: 因為這些irradiated food被生吃(不懂這個原因能解釋什麼>"<)

beside the point沒看懂還有這邊可以猜題意
兩個原因用either A or B連接,表示原因為同一方向
生食沒有經過cooking,所以irradiated會造成營養破壞為第一個原因
這樣可以猜想第二個原因也是要說irradiated會造成營養的破壞

: E) 對於那些irradiated和cooked的食物 維他命B1的減少 與 調理食物的每一個過程
: 是逐漸增加的

E是說就算cooking會破壞營養,但是若是有經過irradiated處理的食物
對營養的破壞會更加嚴重
