Time has flown since the release of Garbage's 3rd album, beautifulgarbage.
After an extensive tour, a year ago the band hid themselves away in their
studio in Madison to begin work on a 4th album.
Nobody knows the title yet, but Shirley suggested in her diary;
"We're thinking of calling the new album 'Hands on a Hard Body' after
that crazy competion they have somewhere down in Texas where locals compete
to win a truck by seeing who can keep their hand on the body of the truck
for the longest... ...You've got to see it to believe it. And if you've ever
wondered what it's like to try and remain in a band after nearly ten years,
through sickness and in health, you'll get a glimpse of it right there in that
desperate struggle to win that godforsaken truck."
Release is expected early 2004. Febuary has been suggested.
"Garbage are halfway through recording their fourth album at drummer/producer
Butch Vig's Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin. The quartet hopes to complete
the follow-up to 2001's Beautiful Garbage by October and release it early
