這個實在是沒有硬性規定，沒有一定，所以也沒有"絕對正確"的台詞。
不但是新人可以自己寫，法官/牧師也可以視場合換，隨教會不同也會改變。
大致上來說是這樣的:
[groom]/[bride], do you take [bride]/[groom] to be. your lawfully wedded
wife/husband; to have and to hold from this day forward, for richer for
poorer, in prosperity or adversity, to love and to cherish, so long as you
both may live?
有聽過要新人跟著覆述的，也有比較老派的教會對新郎和新娘有不同細節的。
