There is no way of knowing Googles real motivation for this move.
They kind of lost most of their credibility when they censored in the first
place.
Their company motto says the "should not be evil",
but it says nothing about having to be good either.

Really? This is the first time I have ever heard of Baidu
and I have no intention of using it.
It might be China's no 1 search engine but
I don't think it will ever compete with yahoo or google or microsoft on the
world stage.
All British based companies should do the same.

My wife and daughter are Chinese and keep insisting on using Baidu
as their chosen search engine. I have to run a weekly security scans on
their laptop as Baidu are always trying to install "spyware" on it.
Baidu aren't as white as they'd like to make out!.....
